Registration Links

Mustang Soccer Referee Program covers two clubs: Mustang Soccer Club (Danville) and Mt. Diablo Mustang Soccer Club (Pleasant Hill/Martinez/Concord). Once you complete all the requirements and are US Soccer certified, please use these links to join our assigning platform. I recommend choosing the club that is closest to your house as you are getting started, but you are more than welcome to join both.

Sportlynx How To Video

This video will walk you through how to use Sportlynx.

Sportlynx Intro and How To

Next Steps After Joining Sportlynx

I will assign the Jamboree based on availability, but games during the Fall season will be open for self-assign. This means, you can pick up games that work around your schedule. On Monday's I will open up games 3 weeks in advance and you can choose what will work best for you. The season starts the weekend after Labor Day, but some games are available before that. Please review my emails when I send as I try and keep them short and informative.

Referee uniforms can be purchased any number of places, I typically go through officialsports.com, Here is a link: First time referee kits and a discount code: RK9C

A good referee will have the following:

  • Watch
  • Whistle
  • Flags
  • Coin
  • Yellow and Red card
  • Something to write on
  • Something to write with
  • Referee shirt (I recommend yellow as the 1st shirt)
  • Referee shorts
  • Referee socks (I recommend that you buy the logo socks, otherwise known as 2-stripe socks)

Should you want to expand your wardrobe I would add the other shirt colors in the following order Green, Blue, Red and Black.

Please also remember that once you have signed up for a game, the only way to be removed is to send me an email.  If it is less than 24 hours before your assigned game, please call me.  Please treat this as a job, as your fellow referee, the players, the coaches and the fans are counting on you to show up.

Congratulations again and I look forward to seeing you on the pitch soon,

Referee Motto:
Learn/practice something every game.
